Personally, this is one of the most comforting verses that gives me an amazing sense of peace. I long to be in my true home in Heaven, away from this corrupted world full of pain, confusion, heartache, sin, disease, and imperfection.
One time I was with my hip Courtney and we were going somewhere in my car in St. James. We both heard this loud sound out of nowhere; it’s really hard to explain, but it didn’t sound like anything we had heard before. It startled us and the weird thing is we both had the same initial thought: Jesus had returned to Earth. This incident is the only time I’ve ever thought this. We were not joking around, we were both dead serious about this reaction.
As you know, Jesus did not return that day. It was some sort of emergency vehicle’s sirens.
