I’ve Got Wedding Fever

(Today I am blog swapping so you need to go here too.)

Hi all! I’m Jessica from Classy in Philadelphia and I’m so excited to be here on Mindy’s blog for the 6th 20sb blog swap!

When Mindy and I were e-mailing back and forth trying to decide what to blog about, she happened to suggest “thoughts on marriage” which immediately caught my eye, because to be quite honest, I have a little bit of wedding fever.

After attending a sorority sister’s wedding last month and reading all about some of my favorite blog friends wedding plans, weddings have definitely been on my mind.

I don’t even have a boyfriend right now, but I’m convinced that I’ll be married sometime in the next 5 years or so. I definitely want to get married before I’m 26 or 27 because I want to be a young bride (and then later a young mom).

My ideal wedding?

October. Gorgeous red, orange and yellow leaves on the trees and on the ground. A crisp breeze, but the sun will still be shining.

The dress?

Long, obviously. Poofy, but not too poofy. Strapless. Maybe with a lace bow in a tan or brownish color around the back.

The bridesmaids will be wearing brown or tan…definitely earth-y colors. Their dresses will be long. My sister will be the maid of honor.

It will definitely be a classy affair, but it will be FUN.

A traditional catholic mass with all of my favorite church songs for the ceremony. Outdoor pictures to capture the beautiful fall atmosphere. Cocktail hour with a signature drink. And then, the reception. Great music, food and drinks.

The honeymoon?

Somewhere tropical. I love Bermuda, so maybe there. Or, maybe somewhere I’ve never been. Maybe a cruise? The possibilities are endless.

Oh, and how can I forget?! The man?

Well, I haven’t met him yet (or have I?) so I don’t want to rule anything out, but he needs to be tall, intelligent, kind, funny and loving. He needs to accept me and love me despite my flaws.

So, I don’t exactly have all the details hashed out yet, but I definitely have a good idea. I’ve dreamed of my wedding day since I was a little girl, so I know no matter where it is, or no matter what I end up wearing, it will be perfect, as long as the right person is by my side. I’m confident that my prince charming is out there..waiting for me!

Do you have an idea of what you want your wedding to be like? Is it something you find yourself thinking about even if you don’t want to?
