[box type=”note”]Catch up on Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 of our trip to Florida![/box]
On Day 4 of our vacation, we got up at sunrise to go see what we could find at the Lido Key Beach. Honestly, I didn’t find a whole lot and was sort-of wanting my lost sleep back. Alas, I did find a few shells and got to experience the quiet beach at sunrise. ;o)
Plus, I did get to take a short nap before we checked out of the hotel in Sarasota and headed towards Orlando, FL! My cousin Christy and her family live there, and Ryan and I were asked to hang out with her sweet kiddos during the work week.
We took a slightly longer way because I wanted to go over the Sunshine Bridge and see St. Petersburg. Since Ryan is always up for an adventure, he agreed to take a short detour. Yay! We crossed over the Sunshine Bridge into St. Pete. It was lovely! We stopped and took some photos and then found a Cracker Barrel for lunch.
We decided to hang out at St. Pete beach for an hour or so before getting back on the road. I’m so glad we did because we had never been in the St. Pete/Clearwater area and it was sooo pretty! Similar to Sarasota, but I think the water was even more beautiful! We could almost snorkel. I had a guy take an iPhone photo of us since we didn’t get any photos together. :) This day also marked 5 and half years together!
We then made it to Orlando, dropped off our rental car, and spent time with family for the rest of the evening.
