My REAL blog makeover is here

Remember the very first blog makeover I won in November from The Design Girl? (The other two I won were passed on to blog friends.)

To clear up any confusion, I didn’t get the makeover installed until last night! The other blog changes you’ve seen since then were just me using free backgrounds and trying out a few things.

How does it look? I want your honest opinions because it won’t hurt my feelings! I wanted more recent pictures in the header, but I had to settle with some photos from Summer 2008. They are awesome pictures that Ryan and I had taken by a talented photographer, but you’ve seen them before and I’ve seen them a lot. I just need something new, but I don’t have much to work with right now! (Hint: Ryan, we need new pictures too.) But it will definitely work for now.

Ryan took a few pictures of me over Christmas break in hopes of using a few for my new header. But… it was too cold, he didn’t have his favorite lens, and The Design Girl thought the older pictures would look better.

Ryan promised me said he’ll do my next blog makeover. Aww.. how kind of him to help his girlfriend out.

Side note: If you want to see more photos by Ryan Professional Ray, see his Flickr. He’s doing the 365 Project with his iPhone… oh and he is the proud owner of a Canon 7D (you’re welcome.)

Thanks for all your responses on my Writer’s Block post! Don’t forget you can ask me a question here anytime.

I posted twice today– here’s my other post (Where in the World Wednesday) incase you missed it.

Where in the World Wednesday

Today I am again participating in Classy In Philadelphia‘s feature Where in the World Wednesday.

To remind you, Jessica says…

“The idea of WITWW is to post a picture of you in someplace in the world…it doesn’t have to be somewhere foreign or tropical. Just a picture of you somewhere that you consider traveling.”

Two years ago, almost to the date, I visited the state of Michigan for the first time. Two other girls and I went with my friend Caitlyn & her sister Carissa (my RA at the time) to their hometown of Battle Creek (home to Kellogg). It was about 3 hours away from Anderson University, our starting point.

Michigan was pretty much what I pictured… with snow and lots of it! It was funny because when I called my parents that weekend, they were experiencing spring-like weather in Missouri. Total opposite.

During our visit, we went to a homecoming basketball game to see their brother, watched Juno at the theatre, shopped, and went to Church on Sunday before we left. It was a fun weekend, probably one of my only fun weekends while at Anderson (too many stressors).

While I was there, I learned that Dairy Queen closes for the winter in Michigan. Interesting!

Have you ever visited Michigan? What’d you think of it?

Where in The World Wednesday

Where in the World Wednesday is a weekly blog feature started by Jessica found at Classy in Philadelphia.

She says,

“The idea of WITWW is to post a picture of you in someplace in the world…it doesn’t have to be somewhere foreign or tropical. Just a picture of you somewhere that you consider traveling.”

Today I am showing you when I was in three states at once with Ryan and his Mom on Thanksgiving ’09! I originally wrote about it in this post, but didn’t have the pictures from Ryan yet.

On the way there

I can now say I’ve been in Kansas and Oklahoma! Better yet, all at the same time with Missouri.

You can be in three places at once!

Have you ever been in more than one state at the same time?
