Where in the World Wednesday

Today I am again participating in Classy In Philadelphia‘s feature Where in the World Wednesday.

To remind you, Jessica says…

“The idea of WITWW is to post a picture of you in someplace in the world…it doesn’t have to be somewhere foreign or tropical. Just a picture of you somewhere that you consider traveling.”

Two years ago, almost to the date, I visited the state of Michigan for the first time. Two other girls and I went with my friend Caitlyn & her sister Carissa (my RA at the time) to their hometown of Battle Creek (home to Kellogg). It was about 3 hours away from Anderson University, our starting point.

Michigan was pretty much what I pictured… with snow and lots of it! It was funny because when I called my parents that weekend, they were experiencing spring-like weather in Missouri. Total opposite.

During our visit, we went to a homecoming basketball game to see their brother, watched Juno at the theatre, shopped, and went to Church on Sunday before we left. It was a fun weekend, probably one of my only fun weekends while at Anderson (too many stressors).

While I was there, I learned that Dairy Queen closes for the winter in Michigan. Interesting!

Have you ever visited Michigan? What’d you think of it?
