Fall is a busy time of year for photo shoots! One of my recent photo sessions was with Megan and Cody for their engagement photos. I actually went to high school with Megan, but this was my first time meeting her fiancé Cody. They are getting married next year around this same time of year – in a glass chapel. How cool is that?!
The fall weather was just perfect that day. We went to a couple different locations for their photos, from a pumpkin patch to a field. Megan & Cody had some really fun ideas for their engagement session. We set up a “picnic” setting and they brought some cool props – an old camera and a ukulele. They were such naturals in front of the camera!
Thanks you two for a fun session, and congrats on your engagement! I wish you the best! ♥
I posted a preview of Tiffany & Travis’ session a few weeks ago, but I wanted to show you more now that it’s finished! This session was more or less a trash the dress/”day after”/bridal session – or in other words, another reason to get back into their wedding attire once last time and get some great photos. Ryan & I took their wedding photos, and unfortunately there just wasn’t a lot of time to steal the bride & groom away for some good portraits.
This session was so much fun! We took the photos on Travis’ family farm because they wanted a simple & natural feel to them. There was a great red barn, orange tractor, and even horses and cows! Unfortunately, we couldn’t get to the hay bales because they had an electric fence around them. We rode around in a Gator from location to location – true country style.
It was cloudy that day, but what can you do besides take advantage of the natural diffuser?! The sun peeked out for literally 10 seconds. We got some great photos anyway!
Thanks Tiffany & Travis, for such a fun session! You two are so great together. ♥
Back in July, Ryan and I made a just for fun video of our friends Jon & Laurie. Ryan did a winter video of them and decided we should do a summer version. We shot it in Indiana at sunset and it involved fun summer things like water, bikes, cornfields, and fireworks! :) Ryan did the editing (the whole video is in slow-mo) and chose the song “Pumped Up Kicked” by Foster the People. Let us know what you think!
Ryan & I just got back to Missouri after hanging out in Indiana for a few weeks. One thing we did while we were there was an impromptu photo session! This time, I was behind the camera and Ryan was in front. (Next time it’s vice versa!) He was such a gorgeous model…oh wait, am I biased?

Over the 4th of July weekend, my cousin & his girlfriend visited – we went to the carnival and watched fireworks, rode horses & bikes, ate froyo & ice cream, AND we rented kayaks and a river raft. There’s a local place (Outdoor Activities & Rentals through Missouri S&T) that I just found out about which rents out these things for CHEAP! If you are local, you must check it out.
