Ready or not, here I come

After some deep thought, praying, listening, talking, and option weighing…. I’ve made up my mind!

I started to change my schedule around and I kinda liked it. …Well, as much as you can like a schedule of classes. I’ve decided to take 12 hours at S&T this semester. I will have two education labs that each require 60 hours of time in a K-12 classroom– one is observing and one is aiding. So, in order to have 120 hours available during the semester to do that, my other classes will be in the evening. I have an Education class on Monday nights and Government on Wednesday nights. My other class is still pending because I’m on the wait list for an Art Appreciation class, which will either be Thursday nights or Tuesday & Thursday late afternoon. These classes shouldn’t give me much trouble. I’m purposely saving the more challenging ones for later.

I also received my twice revised financial aid package and it’s good news. I have more than enough so I will actually be paid to go to school–refund! A very nice refund that can help pay off my loans. That definitely helped me confirm my decision. It’s hard to turn down such an offer.
Although it doesn’t make sense to me that some people get too much aid, and others don’t get enough…Hmmm.

I only need two books and I bought them yesterday… at the bookstore. *shock* They were cheaper at the bookstore compared to buying them online! That’s a first!

I’m hoping these next few months will be laid back and fly by smoothly and quickly. I am so not looking forward to being away from Ryan again–that will be the worst part. If I could see him often, as in more than every 3 months, that would be amazing! I just know it’s probably not realistic considering the situation… a million and one things going on in his life + two states away with no car = wishful thinking. My hopes are that it’s not as lonely and depressing as last semester, whatever that may mean.

In mid-December, I hope to say I’m very happy with the decision I made! Whether I like it or not, I will be closer to graduating, which probably won’t be until 2012. I hope every year until then won’t be dreadful.

This all starts Monday.

Ready? Not?, here I come…
