I promise this hasn’t turned into a crafting-only blog. I’m just on a crafting kick lately and want to share it with you!
This is my favorite one yet. A heart-felt wreath… get it?
I found this heart wreath tutorial at the blog Eighteen25, who got the idea from The Idea Room, who got the idea from Design Sponge, which was inspired by this pillow tutorial. (Just making sure I give credit where credit is due. I wish I could say I came up with this myself, but I certainly didn’t!)
Supplies needed:
Foam heart wreath form
Felt (in whatever color(s) you choose!)
Straight pins
3″ circle for template
Scissors
Lots of time!
Cut out lots of 3 inch circles! By lots I mean, it took about 3-4 sheets (9″x12″) of felt per color (3 colors in mine). That’s about 120 circles – whoa! And there was room for even more, but I had to find a stopping point!
First I pinned on my red circles… (pinning them on is the best part!)
Then bright pink…
Then white… see how you pin them? Fold the circle in half two times, and then pin through the bottom point onto your wreath.
Almost done!!
Finally…complete! You leave the back without the circles because you can’t see that when you hang it up!
I found the prefect spot on the wall where I didn’t even need a hanger on the wreath itself. But you may make one on the back of the wreath with ribbon if needed!
I absolutely LOVE this felt heart wreath! So very worth the time and effort.
Would you make this yourself? What is one of your favorite Valentine-themed crafts?
P.S.- Don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a handmade yarn wreath in your choice of colors!
