Autumn is bittersweet for me. It replaces summer, my very favorite, and leads into winter, my least favorite. So sometimes I just have to force myself to overlook those things and love fall for what it is. And that would be a season full of potential. It is what you make out of it, afterall!
So instead of mourning over the end of summer and an upcoming winter, I try to keep in mind the beauty of fall.
In no particular order, some of my favorite things about the Fall Season:
1 – Sharing Pumpkin Spice Lattes with my boyfriend
2 – The scents of Autumn perfected in a candle
3 – Cooler weather means even more cuddling
4 – Corn mazes and haunted houses
5 – Watching the leaves evolve from green to the brilliant colors of Autumn
6 – Carving pumpkins into works of art
7 – Leaving doors and windows open to the Fall Breeze
8 – Apple ______ (Fill in the blank: Orchards, Butter, in Caramel, Cider, All of the above)
9 – Hayrides
10 – Bonfires & S’mores (Bonus: This carries over from summer, but you actually need the warmth now!)
11 – Football Games.. no, scratch that… Half-time . Once a participator, now a nostalgic spectator.
12- Fall Festivals Everywhere
13 – Having an excuse to be childlike and dress up in costume
14 – Fall decor
15 – Flowers that thrive in the cooler weather
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
