Two.fourteen
It’s far more than a Hallmark holiday for us. I’ve always liked Valentine’s Day, but little did I know how much more significance it would hold after 2006. It would become our day, a day of celebration with the boy of my dreams. Literally. In our junior high days, I wouldn’t have believed anyone if they told me I’d be your girlfriend in the future. No way! But God does some pretty awesome things.
It’s been four years since we first became an official couple. Although we’ve had some ups and downs since then and you can’t exactly say we’ve been together for 4 years, I believe that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him. I have faith and hope that we can make up for these past Valentine’s Days we spent apart with lots of future Valentine’s Days together. :)
I missed you today though, Valentine, and I cannot wait to see you this coming weekend. It’s been a month too long since you last held me tight.

Even though I wish distance did not separate us, I try not to fight it and instead, soak up some valuable lessons while I can. Like patience and appreciation and how much it really means to be hand in hand. It may sound funny, but I hope I never forget what’s it like to long for a hug… for three months straight.
So now… two of my favorite things to say…
I love you, Ryan. Happy 2.14!
